About OUr Breeding Program

Our Expert Process.

Our Exceptional Dogs.

Scope & Focus

We proudly focus our breeding program on one exceptional breed: The Newfoundland.

Newfoundlands are the heart of Knallhart—known for their gentle nature, solid structure, dependable temperament, and unmatched devotion. Our goal is to preserve and elevate these qualities through thoughtful, purposeful selection.

We are not a mass-production kennel. We produce only a small number of intentional litters each year, ensuring each puppy receives:

  • Intensive one-on-one handling
  • Advanced early socialization
  • Structured exposure and developmental exercises
  • Around-the-clock supervision and care

This focused approach creates puppies with excellent emotional balance, clear temperaments, and strong foundations for family life or future training programs.

Health & Temperament Standards

A Knallhart puppy begins long before birth—with dogs who meet the highest standards of health, temperament, and breed integrity. These tests are non-negotiable. They ensure each litter has the strongest possible start.

Health Testing Requirements Include:

  • Orthopedic evaluations (hips, elbows)
  • Cardiac health screening
  • Eye and vision exams
  • Full genetic disease panels

Temperament Matters Just as Much

We select dogs who are:

  • Stable
  • Confident
  • Clear-headed
  • Emotionally balanced
  • Reliable with people and other animals
  • Capable of thriving in family homes, obedience programs, or specialized training roles

Socialization & Owner Education

Preparing for a Lifetime – Development begins the moment our puppies are born. Our guided curriculum includes:

Early Handling & Desensitization – Exposure to textures, surfaces, sounds, and safe environmental challenges.

Confidence & Structure – Age-appropriate introduction to boundaries, expectations, and positive experiences that build emotional resilience.

Role Models – Time with our trained adult dogs, who demonstrate stable behavior, respectful interactions, and calm confidence.

Owner Preparation – Your preparation is as important as the puppy’s. Every owner receives:

  • A comprehensive Puppy Roadmap & Transition Guide
  • Introduction to our balanced training principles
  • Access to continued training with Knallhart’s academy
  • Guidance for raising confident, well-mannered dogs from day one

We set both you and your puppy up for long-term success.

Placement & Aftercare

We place puppies only in homes that value structure, commitment, and balanced, respectful relationships. When you join the Knallhart family, you receive:

  • Lifetime support and guidance
  • Continued access to our training academy and educational programs
  • Full health documentation, veterinary records, and AKC registration
  • A partnership with us—not a one-time transaction

A Knallhart puppy comes with a community, a trainer, and a lifetime of support behind them.

Why Choose A Knallhart Newfoundland?

We are not chasing trends we are preserving what these breeds were meant to be: sound, healthy, stable, capable family and working dogs.

Our puppies enter homes that want:

  • Family companions
  • Therapy or service dog candidates
  • Obedience prospects
  • AKC conformation competitors

We raise every litter to a high standard so owners can choose a path that fits their goals.

Because our program operates inside a professional training academy, puppies are raised with:

  • Structure
  • Routine
  • Gentle boundaries
  • Clarify and confidence

Balanced puppies grow into balanced dogs.

You receive everything needed to continue the foundation we’ve built: checklists, guides, training access, and ongoing support.

Quality is the priority. We bred only when a pairing improves or preserves the breed.
